History
Dr. Rains is semi-retired but is still occasionally working (to help Dr. Coleman have a day off every once in a while). Dr. Rains was born and raised in Southern California. He attended Claremont High School and served as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. Following his discharge, he attended Oklahoma State University, earning his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1975. After graduation, he returned to So. California, joining a small animal practice in Chino for two years and then also worked for a year at an emergency clinic in Montclair. In 1979 he purchased Arrowhead Veterinary Hospital and moved with his family to the mountains. Dr. Rains is proud to say he has spent half his life on the mountains.
