History
Located in the heart of the North Valley near Old Town and Rio Grande Blvd, the staff at the Rio Grande Animal Hospital is dedicated to helping you provide the best quality of life for your pets. Our hospital started out in the early 1940s as a family-owned neighborhood practice and continues to be an integral part of the community. This makes us one of the oldest yet progressive hospitals in the county! After Dr. Galassini retired in 2009, the practice was purchased by Dr. Daniel Levenson and continues the spirit of an independently owned hospital (no corporate or out-of-town owners). We have 2 full-time doctors, 1 part time doctor, and a full staff of caring, knowledgeable people who excel in the science of veterinary medicine.
