Freeport Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1983 by Dr. David Bourassa. The clinic was originally located on Durham Road as a home office for Dr. Bourassa. As the need to expand arose, the current facility was built in 1998. Upon Dr. Bourassa's retirement in October 2005, Dr. Carolyn Radding purchased Freeport Veterinary Hospital and took over all operations.

Freeport Veterinary Hospital is a full-service companion animal hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. We are especially known for our work in dental care, acupuncture and behavioral problems in both dogs and cats.

Each and every one of our twelve staff members is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to both you and your pet. We understand the special role that your pet plays in your family and look forward to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. Several of our staff are certified Fear Free Professionals which means we take the utmost care to reduce fear, stress, and anxiety during any visit to our hospital When you walk through our doors, you can expect to find smiling faces, lots of treats and experienced professionals ready to work with you to keep your furry friend happy and healthy for years to come.
