History
Dr. Paula Jones was born and raised in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Jones knew at a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian and was always driven in the pursuit of her future career. She did her undergraduate work in biology and chemistry from Missouri State University, graduating with honors, in 1996. She then went to the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with her Doctorate in 2000. Upon graduating, she worked in a mixed animal practice near Fayetteville, NC seeing mostly dogs, cats and horses. In 2004, she moved to Greensboro with the intention of finding a practice to purchase. She started doing relief work in and around the Triad area with several places becoming regular scheduled days. She started working at Cardinal Animal Hospital in September, 2006. Finally, in September of 2018, her dream became a reality and she purchased Cardinal Animal Hospital. Dr. Jones lives with her supportive husband, Ralph, and their four pets in High Point. She brings her dog, Apple, to work with her almost every day. In her free time, Dr. Jones is an active runner and triathlete and loves to compete in local races. You may see her running or biking if not working!
