Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Stevens earned her DVM degree from the University of Illinois in 1982. After practicing for 3 years in a Chicago suburb, Dr. Stevens and her husband, Dr. Groesch, moved downstate to be closer to their families. They purchased Fairview Hospital for Animals in 1989 and built a new facility in 2006. Dr. Stevens has also served on the Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation Board since its inception and has held every position on the executive board. She was instrumental in helping plan, design and fund-raise for the the new county animal control facility. Dr. Stevens also served as Rabies Control Administrator from 2001-2008. Her special interests are ophthalmology, dermatology and endocrinology. Dr. Stevens is the proud mother of three children and two dogs.
