Veterinarian and Owner
Dr. Groesch, a University of Illinois alumni, received his DVM degree in 1982. He worked in Arlington Heights in a busy 6 doctor practice before moving to Decatur. In 1989, he and his wife, Dr. Stevens, purchased Fairview Hospital for Animals. He has neutered over 450 feral cats in Macon County since 2012 as part of our partnership with Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation’s Trap-Neuter-Return feral cat program and the Macon County Animal Control BARN program. These programs help control the feral cat population in Macon County. Dr. Groesch’s special interests are animal surgery, soccer and his Norton Commando motorcycle.
