Dr. Cote is a Maine transplant after living all over the country in her younger years. She fell in love with Maine 12 years ago and has never looked back. She earned her Bachelors in Biology at the University of Missouri and continued there to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After graduation, Dr. Cote pursued a small animal internship at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.
She currently resides in Brunswick with her two children, 3 cats, 2 dogs and a tortoise. She loves music, reading and spending time outdoors.
My favorite part of my job is building relationships - whether that's with a new client with a brand new puppy or a nervous dog that has never known a Fear Free vet experience. I love being able to spend the time getting to know people and their pets so we can work together to develop an unique plan for each pet and situation.
I chose this profession as a young girl in love with animals. My parents were kind and patient enough to let me keep pretty much any stray that I could get to follow me home. I began volunteering at a local clinic at the age of 11 and have continued on this path ever since. Veterinary medicine is challenging and wonderful. Even 12 years into this career, I still learn new things regularly and get to do things I've never done. I love the variety, the challenge and most of all, the relationships I've developed with people and their pets.
