Veterinarian
Although a West Virginia native, the Pacific Northwest started calling to Dr. Lisa Woods-Zabari while she was still in veterinary school at Ohio State University. She spent most of her summers working in Western Washington until she graduated in 1990. Wasting not time, she moved to Gig Harbor and joined a mixed animal practice.
Why I chose this profession
By 1994, Dr. Lisa had established Brookside Veterinary Hospital and went on to build the current facility in 2000. She loves living on the Key Peninsula and getting to know the wonderful people in this tight-knit community and surrounding areas.
After 28 years of ownership, Dr. Woods-Zabari was blessed to have found Dr. Justine Zingsheim-Nadeau and her husband, Michael who purchased the practice in April 2021. After many years of creating, growing, and giving her heart to Brookside, she is excited to have the Nadeau's take this special hospital to the next level, while continuing to keep it a family-owned private practice.
Personal Hobbies & Interests
In her spare time, Dr. Lisa enjoys life with her four dogs; Isabel & Declan her smart mini Aussies, Wilson her adorable Cavalier, and her crazy Frenchie Mickey Mouse. Not to be left out are Loki and Toe-B Toes, her clinic cats. Last but not least is her gorgeous mare Gypsy, a companion of the last 26 years. When Dr. Lisa gets a chance to escape work, she enjoys reading, camping, hiking, and kayaking with her husband, and her newly engaged son and daughter-to-be.
