Dr. Karen Seiple earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Michigan State University, graduating with high honors and receiving the prestigious Pfizer Award for Anesthesia and Pain Management. A Michigan native, she practiced veterinary medicine in New York and North Carolina before returning to Traverse City to join her father, Dr. Kevin Reabe, in practice.
With a strong passion for ophthalmology, Dr. Karen has worked alongside veterinary ophthalmologists at Cornell and North Carolina State University and presented her eye research at the 2009 American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology Conference in Chicago. She completed a year-long internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists, gaining advanced training in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, and surgery under the mentorship of board-certified specialists.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Karen frequently attends local and national continuing education events and has served as co-President of the Northern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Northern Michigan’s trails and waters with her family.
