Share a few sentences about your professional background and what drew you to GeniusVets.

I have worn multiple hats in a variety of industries and have always been drawn to Customer Success and strategies around aligning brands with missions and visions. After spending a year in the veterinary industry as a veterinary assistant, I knew I wanted to be a part of the veterinary industry, but I enjoyed the business and marketing side, which led me to GeniusVets! I love the culture and brand at GeniusVets and am excited to do work to help veterinarians succeed!

What do you love about your role? If you're new to the team, what drew you to this specific role?

I have always applied Customer success strategies to the companies that I have worked with in the past. Being proactive and working with clients as a team or partner aligns with how I work in both my personal and professional life.

Family Info

Live in Nashville, TN, with my wife, Cait, and our two cats, Stanley and Goose. Stanley and Goose are two domestic tabby cats with different personalities. Both are indoor cats, but Goose loves to explore the outdoors (fenced-in backyard), and Stanley is more of a homebody and doesn't like it when there's no escape plan back into the house. I trained them like dogs so they sit for their food and run to the door when I get home. They both know how to open doors if it's a handle, and once flooded our home in Baltimore by pushing a glass into the drain and turning on the faucet, haha!

Passions or hobbies outside of work

I play hockey 2-3 nights a week. I coach a 12U (12 & under) youth hockey team here in Nashville, as well as a high school team. I enjoy planting vegetables and doing yardwork. I also am a true LEGO kid and love building things with whatever supplies I can get my hands on.

What's the best advice you've ever gotten?

During an entrepreneurship competition, one of the judges reminded me that, "If someone else has already acted on an idea, just do it better."

What is one thing you've done that most people have likely never experienced?

I worked as an OpFor (Opposing Forces) for the National Guard camp in Fort Ripley, MN, one summer. It was essentially hardcore laser tag, and I was tasked with playing the opposing forces during the National Guard training iterations and scenarios.

What's a personal or professional accomplishment that you're really proud of?

I've completed 3 Olympic-sized triathlons and 1 half marathon.

Have you had any funny animal encounters?

One of my cats found a box turtle roaming the backyard, so we did a photoshoot using portrait mode.

On a Sunday morning, you'll find me…

Either golfing, watching golf, or doing yardwork.
