Share a few sentences about your professional background and what drew you to GeniusVets.
I started off in Sales and Marketing as well as an event sales manager and planner, they were well-rounded roles that really helped me lead into what were my actual gifts and interests. In the last few years, I did in-house marketing and marketing operations for a health and wellness brand and have really missed the client connection side of things, not having that there.
What do you love about your role? If you're new to the team, what drew you to this specific role?
The client connections and relationship side of the role first drew me in, as well as being able to still be a strategy partner. I also enjoyed the feeling of the team and company as a whole after my first interview. Being able to be a part of helping what may be a small business grow is impactful for me.

I have been married to my husband Nick for 13 years. We have a 13-year-old son, an 8-year-old daughter, and a Yorkipoo, Rip (after our favorite cowboy on Yellowstone).

I love the beach and being outside (most of the time in Florida), I love thrifting and helping mentor women at my church.
What's the best advice you've ever gotten?
“Don’t outrun the season you’re in.” Sometimes it's about trusting the process rather than trying to force it or rush it, and enjoying what happens while you are waiting.
What's a personal or professional accomplishment that you're really proud of?
At my previous company, there were a lot of structural changes and layoffs, and I was tasked to plan and run a 700+ person conference with my new team of 4. I wanted to quit many times, but stuck it out and it was a huge success.
Have you had any funny animal encounters?
I was chased by a Peacock at a zoo when I was about 6 and have been terrified of birds ever since.
On a Sunday morning, you'll find me…
Sleeping in, sipping a hot coffee, and serving at my church with my family.
